Bloom (Disney Remix)
I am in love with these remixes. I haven't listened to one in a while, but I came across this and I had to put it up. They always make me want to make a video of my Disney pictures.

Watch and Cry: Demi Lovato Special
I think Demi Lovato is an inspiration to girls everywhere.
When she started out in the Disney spotlight, I wasn't a huge fan. I didn't hate Demi. In fact, I bought a few of her songs. I just wasn't that into her. Then she went to rehab for eating disorders and self harm. It was after that event and her honesty after her release that I became a fan.
I admire Demi for the courage she had to not only go to rehab, but to speak about her experiences and addictions was absolutely inspiring. The things she went through are more common than people want to believe, so I love that she is out there telling people how it is. I am amazed by her and her new music.
I wasn't able to watch her special, Demi Lovato: Stay Strong, on MTV Tuesday night. Fortunately, they uploaded it to their website. I quivered a little in the beginning, but by the half way point I was bawling, getting tears all over my cat. It was lovely and brave, and it really puts things in perspective. Check it out:
Be honest, did you cry?

Ellie Goulding Dedication Day
If you live where I live then you know that the weather is absolutely GORGEOUS today. It's over sixty degrees! As a result, I've got some serious Spring fever which means I want music that makes me happy.
Despite my love and adoration of Ellie Goulding, I've somehow never mentioned her on here (read about the time I met her here). Today I am making up for that by featuring some of my favorite happy-Ellie songs. Enjoy!
And because you can no longer embed the original official video, here is a lyric video for "Under the Sheets."
Now out into the sunshine!

Stuck in My Head: Glee/Adele
I've been in an Adele mood lately (am I ever not in an Adele mood?). This mash-up is brilliant, I love Santana's voice, and I am determined to learn this choreography.

Stuck in My Head: An Adele Cover
This is such a lovely song. It always breaks my heart a little.

Stuck in My Head: Jessie J
I am in love with this song lately. It's so upbeat and peppy I just want to dance! I love "Price Tag," but this is so great.

Stuck in My Head: An Infectious Pop Song
You know it's a good song when the first time you hear it you hit the repeat button three times.
"Bubblegum Boy" may sound like a juvenile name, but this song is hot! It's by Pia Mia (no idea) and Bella Thorne. I'm not really a fan of Shake It Up, so I never paid much attention to Bella (she plays one of the leads). Because of that, I was not expecting this. Enjoy!

Taylor Swift Debuts Hunger Games Video
Last night the music video for Taylor Swift and The Civil War's song "Safe & Sound" was released. The lovely ballad is for The Hunger Games soundtrack.
The song already makes me want to shed a tear, but seeing the video really made me want to break down. It's bleak and haunting, and well, down right beautiful. I feel like it really fits the tone of The Hunger Games. Heck, Taylor even looks a bit down-trodden.
Taylor said it's one of her favorite videos and it gave her "chills." And despite being a super Taylor fan, I didn't realize that she wrote the song with The Civil Wars. She said, ""I just knew I wanted it to deal with sort of the empathy, the more sad, bitter-sweet side of the story." I just saw that it was for a movie and completely forgot that she's an amazing songwriter. Sorry, girl.
I love the video, how about you?

The Grammy's Are Tonight
You can catch the biggest night in music tonight on CBS at eight o'clock. You already know I'm looking forward to the wild and crazy fashion the Grammy's are known for, but there are also some pretty amazing performances lined up. Here's who I can't wait to see:
Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj - They'll be performing separately, but both are known for their catchy tracks and wild outfits.
The Beach Boys - I loves me some Full House, so I am very familiar with this group. They'll be joined on stage by Maroon 5 (swoon!) and Foster the People (eh).
Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood - That is going to be one hell of a vocal performance.
The Civil Wars - I will be honest and admit that the only song of theirs I've heard is their duet with Taylor Swift for The Hunger Games soundtrack, but that was really good, so I'm looking forward to more.
Taylor Swift - You're not surprise, are you? I'm supporting my girl Taylor tonight in all forms and I can't wait for her performance.
Adele - This will be her first performance since her vocal surgery (a short a capella for Anderson Cooper does not count). Talk about coming back with a bang!
What do you want to see at the Grammy's?

Selena Gomez Parts Ways With Her Band
Last night, much to my dismay, I discovered that Selena Gomez & The Scene are no more, at least for now. Selena released the above Instagram picture with a caption about how grateful she was for her group and how she'll miss them. She was of course flooded with responses, so she took to her Facebook:
As a lover of pop music, I mourn this decision. So here are some of my favorite Selena Gomez & The Scene songs.
And then, of course, there's Naturally, Round & Round, A Year Without Rain, and Hit the Lights. Come back, Selena!

Just to clear up my last instagram post, my band and I are going our separate ways for a while. This year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back, but it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys :)

Stuck in My Head: Who Else?
Yup. It's Taylor Swift. Ever since I wrote about that Valentine's Sale this little number has been playing in my mind. It's just so pretty, darn it!

Pretty and Addicting
I love when people take pop or hip-hop songs with a fast beat and slow them down. This cover of T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" came up on my Pandora today, and I'm now I've put it on repeat.
Needless to say I'll be looking up Anya Marina songs all night.

Weekend Theme Song: Selena Gomez & The Scene
"Hit the lights, let the music move you, lose yourself tonight." I can't think of a better anthem!
Also check out: "Bang Bang Bang" and "Rock God"

Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott Gets Married
Hillary Scott of the country group Lady Antebellum has tied the knot. The singer married drummer Chris Tyrrell in upstate New York (hey, I live in upstate New York...) surrounded by family and friends.
Hillary wore a mermaid gown by the one and only bridal goddess Vera Wang. The dress featured crystal and pearl beading, lace underlay, a layered tulle skirt with horsehair banding, and hand-cut corded lace appliques. Don't you just love the lace veil and rustic setting?
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Babyonce is Here!
In "Yay, OMG!" news, Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby is finally here, and it's a girl! (I was going to be really upset if it was a boy. Bey just has to have a girl, you know?)
Ivy Blue Carter was born at Lenox Hill Hospital on the upper east side of Manhattan on Saturday. Congratulations to the proud parents!
UPDATE: Apparently, her name is Blue Ivy Carter. I think I like the first one better.

Stuck in My Head: Natalia Kills
Currently playing non-stop in my mind: "Kill My Boyfriend" by Natalia Kills.
Natalia's style is dark, edgy pop. This particular song has dark, edgy lyrics, but with an insanely catchy and bubbly beat.
My other Natalia Kills favorites: "Wonderland", "Zombie", and "Mirrors".
Oh, and she's British. How awesome is that?!
