Watch and Cry: Demi Lovato Special

I think Demi Lovato is an inspiration to girls everywhere.

When she started out in the Disney spotlight, I wasn't a huge fan. I didn't hate Demi. In fact, I bought a few of her songs. I just wasn't that into her. Then she went to rehab for eating disorders and self harm. It was after that event and her honesty after her release that I became a fan.

I admire Demi for  the courage she had to not only go to rehab, but to speak about her experiences and addictions was absolutely inspiring. The things she went through are more common than people want to believe, so I love that she is out there telling people how it is. I am amazed by her and her new music.

I wasn't able to watch her special, Demi Lovato: Stay Strong, on MTV Tuesday night. Fortunately, they uploaded it to their website. I quivered a little in the beginning, but by the half way point I was bawling, getting tears all over my cat. It was lovely and brave, and it really puts things in perspective. Check it out:

Be honest, did you cry?

Demi Lovato Goes Blonde

This girl has officially been every natural hair color possible. Demi debuted her switch from red to blonde yesterday to mixed results. I think I like it. She's gorgeous no matter what (although that black hair was a little intense). What do you think of her do?

Demi Lovato News Round-Up

Demi arrived at the People's Choice Awards last night looking absolutely gorgeous. She arrived in salmon/pink/peach Marchesa Resort gown that featured a jeweled boustier. Demi accessorized with gold peep toe heels, gold jewelry, and an embellished clutch. Her figure looks amazing!
Later in the night, Demi changed into a red Issa dress with matching Jimmy Choos, and performed her new single "Give Your Heart a Break." Then the 19-year-old won the award for Favorite Pop Artist, beating out Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Rihanna. Yay, go girl!

In other Demi news, she and Wilmer Valderrama have called it quits. The pair dated before Demi went to rehab, then got back together. The other day she tweeted "The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man." Though they never confirmed being a couple, they are "no longer hooking up." Personally, I'm glad since he's twelve years older.

Also, her cover of Lil Wayne's "How to Love" has been stuck in my head. So here's that:
